review 1: Dang, I was really hoping that this book would do good. When I saw the cover and read the blurb I got really excited since I saw potential. But I only managed to read until page 27 and had to tag this as DNF. The writing and characters were giving me a whiplash. It just has poor construct and needs a lot of editing.I can't get into the story and can't take the characters seriously. I keep on thinking about Eliot Spitzer and that whole debacle the entire time I was reading this. And there's nothing enticing about that 'Governor' the mental image and stigma was just too much. This book is just not for me.
review 2: Love, love, love, Ms Steele’s dark, edgy romances with alpha men who will say and do whatever it takes to get what they want. And I'm really excite... mored about this series. This author doesn't do a lot of them, but I sure am glad that she did the Governor. If you enjoy series, then you definitely want to check this one out.I am looking forward to the last one which is coming soon, the author is good about having them up on time--every two weeks. less
