review 1: I don't normally read books that are dark but I liked the blurb and decided to give this one a try. There were times I really wanted to hate Anthony but geez you can't help but like the guy, even if he is one crazy alpha SOB... Talia is a strong character who refused to give up her independence. Sometimes the messed up circumstances we find ourselves in lead us to something/someone who could save us. I could not put this book down, I read it in one go. If you are looking for something that's a little dark and different then this is the book for you.

I love that you got to see the story from different ... morecharacter perspectives, it made you feel as if you were in the thick of it, uncovering the crime with Max and her odd ball partner. Even more so because Ms Steele does such a good job with resonating the characters feelings on the page throughout the book. I’m glad to have stumbled across this author! less
