review 1: Ok, these two: Amanda and James both have issues. They each have very different interpretations of what transpired between them which I find funny. I am tempted to believe Amanda was not trying to make him seem like the monster he was and James was justifying his actions by the obsession he had with her. It seems the only thing they can agree about is that the sex between them is good and kinky. The inclusion of random characters like Cindy and Clarissa was not needed and didn't bring anything to the story.
review 2: Hmmmph...Twisted was OK in that it was short, readable and free through the kindle Prime lending library. I was curious to see where it was going even though I wasn't quite sure what to make of it.Amanda is threatened by James into a sexual relatio... morenship; the specifics behind the threat being confusing at best and having something to do with James ordering Amanda to sign an agreement giving him 51% of her business because he was a silent partner to her currently dead partner with whom he had a verbal agreement, which was legally binding as it was accompanied by a paper trail. What? And then Amanda just says "OK I'll sign". So again, "what"?Anyway...James explains (and explains, and explains in mind numbing detail) that he is a sexual deviant with a dark, twisted sexual appetite. Except that he would never force his dark, twisted, sexual urges on anyone other than a willing participant. (Ooh, that's dark. Just sayin'). So my first thought was that his plan for torturing and punishing Amanda for her thievery (?) was to talk her to death with his long winded, at times unintentionally funny, soliloquies expounding upon - in a fairly stilted speech - all the dark, depraved things he was going to do to her. But as it turns out, Amanda is turned on by James' soliloquies and conveniently enjoys his special brand of bent, twisted, depraved sexuality. So it's win-win and they are perfect for each other and there's a HEA.It was quick and sort of interesting in a WTF is this sort of way... less
