review 1: I was gifted a copy of this book in return for an honest review. This book is very unique. It is unique in its story line, writing, and characters. When you first read the blurb it kind of sounds like it could be a basic romance with some drama, but that is far from what this book is.The story starts strong and continues that way throughout. Elizabeth and Ayden are very strong independent characters. At first Dan's presence in the story threw me off, then I understood. The book also provides some very HOT scenes! The writing style of this story has an old literature feel to it, while still being very easy to read and somehow modern. While this would not have been a story I might have chosen on my own, it caught me by surprise and I would definitely recommend it.Reviewed for ... moreMNP, by Chandra
review 2: supremely engaging, September 21, 2014By BookLust BlogThis review is from: TouchStone for play (Story of Us Trilogy #1) (Kindle Edition)I recieved this ARC in exchange for my promise of an honest review.Beth Parker meets Ayden Stone at an event at the college she teaches English. He seems enraptured with Beth, but Beth has demons she's not yet overcome. Over time, she learns Ayden has his own struggles with demons he's not even begun to face. In a turn of events, Ayden convinces Beth to attend the theater with him. During their date, Ayden drops a massive request that leaves the shy English teacher completely out of her element. Despite their different worlds and upbringings, they're star crossed lovers, destined and made for one another. Their sex scenes scorched the wiring of my Kindle, caused me to completely disregard everything in the "real world" to focus on this couple. I ended up really enjoying Beth and Ayden, considering I really didn't like him in the beginning. I felt like he wasn't sympathetic towards Beth's demons, till I realized he was actually helping her overcome those demons. Then, I swooned. :) I really connected with Beth through our similar backstories, funny how a fictional character can make you look at your own situation in a new light. Now the BEST part, my favorite of favorite part of the book: the author. She has an amazing imagination and it really came through in her writing. I could smell what Beth smelled, see, feel, everything. I was BETH while reading this book, when it ended abruptly, I just sat there, thinking "now what?" Being engrossed for days in Ms.Jamesson's story, she made me forget about the rest of the world. I'm so grateful I have the rest of the series! My metaphorical hat goes off you to, Ms. Jamesson. less
