review 1: I downloaded this story when it was available for free through Amazon a few days ago. I'm a big fan of short stories and not many people can write short stories very well. Sydney Logan is one of the few that can pull you into the story quickly, make you love the characters, and leave a reader with a sense of closure in the end. This story has a special twist which I almost missed half-way into the story. I had to go back in the beginning of it to catch it though. Overall, this was a great short story and I look forward to reading more of Sydney Logan's work.
review 2: Sydney Logan impresses me as usual. I've had the pleasure of reading most of her non-published work so I suspected I would enjoy this story as much as I had all the others and I was definitely no
... moret disappointed! The story is a rather short one, but in very few pages Sydney is able to create very heartfelt and meaningful characters. I can totally sympathize with Melanie and how she has grown apart from her husband in recent years after they both face difficult circumstances. This story is all about the magic of Christmas and reconnecting with the people you love. less
