I bought more books???????

I mean at this stage are any of you really surprised? In my defence it was only two, and one is like the depth of my pinky finger, so does it count? OF COURSE!

Book number one has been in my screenshot list for a little while now, and it’s The Wrong Train by Jeremy de Quidt. A friend of mine talked about this on her blog a while back, and I was intrigued. I’m really into immersive books, I mean aren’t we all, but this one sounded different.

To be totally honest I never even read the blurb, the review was enough to make me want to read it. But this is it:

It’s late. Dark. A boy rushes to catch a train, leaping aboard just before it pulls away. Suddenly he realises that it’s the wrong train. He’s annoyed of course, but not scared…Yet.

He gets off at the next station, but the platform’s empty, and it doesn’t look like any station he’s seen before. But he’s still not scared…Yet.

Then a stranger arrives – someone with stories to help pass the time. Only these aren’t any old stories. These are nightmares, and they come with a price to pay…Scared yet?

You will be.

Wow seeing it in italics somehow makes it even scarier, that’s weird.

But anyway, you can see why I was drawn into it. A lot of books recently have consisted of a series of short stories that link back in to the main plot, two that I’ve read are The Next Together by Lauren James and Midwinter Blood by Marcus Sedgewick, and one I’ve wanted to read is Thirteen Chairs by Dave Shelton, so this is clearly something I’m into at the moment.

The second book I bought was The Midnight Heir by Cassandra Clare. This is the fourth story from the Bane Chronicles (all about the wonderful Magnus Bane). I actually have all eleven short stories from the Bane Chronicles in one fabulous book already, so this one was a total cover buy.

LOOK AT IT! LOOK AT ALL THE BEAUTY!

So yeah, I’ve already read this book but I just couldn’t help myself. It’s about the Shadowhunters, do I even need to explain?!

Even though school is kind of taking over at the moment, there are loads of films I want to see and books I want to read, so those will be my homework breaks. Hopefully I’ll have some new reviews for you soon!
