review 1: Omg, I loved this book. I was glad Nyzon & Tiara were finally together & Cray got exactly what he deserved. You would think that Cray was just a misunderstood person, but as you read you can tell he was just evil. He did things that he didn't even have remorse about. I felt so bad that Tara was trying to set up her only daughter. To think she took her husband away was wrong. &it was her own fault for choosing drugs over her family. I'll be looking forward to part two, if there is one.
review 2: This wasn't my favorite book by T.Styles. I loved black and Ugly but I just about but not quite, hated this book. Let just start off by saying that I hated just about all of the characters except Kavon, Nyzon, and Royala. I liked how Kavon, as brutal as he was, was a sta
... morend up type of man. He pretty much went to jail for getting back he supposed bestfriend for raping his girlfriend. I like Nyzon in the end even though it didn't start out that way with the way he was treating the women he knew but once he met Tiara and started to do the right thing than I liked him more and more. Royala I didn't realize I liked until the end when she saved Nyzon's life and I realized how much of an amazing friend she was and because she was the only strong female character that I liked in the whole novel and the story wasn't even about her. I didn't like Crayland because he was a crazy, cowardice murder who killed his bestfriend over money and killed the a mother with her child watching even after she said she wouldn't tell and after he took her ID, but obviously he was meant to be the bad guy of the story so I he made the story more interesting in that sense. However, I hated him even more when he started to go for Tiara because he was out to control her from the beginning and had the nerve to not understand why she left him. Also, even though it wasn't said in the story, I am convinced that he had something to do with her father's murder just because he wanted to control her and was jealous of her and her father's relationship. I didn't like Tiara because she pretty much was a weak willed woman that let herself be objectified and defined by men. While I realize that she was a teenager at the time and she shouldn't have been prayed upon like that by the story's antagonist, she also should have listened to her father and not gotten involved with Crayland. Then the moment she finds out that Crayland has slept with her supposed bestfriend she runs right into the arms of another man. She didn't even let herself be single for like two minutes. Then there is the fact that most of the woman in this book are just about completely objectified. The women in this book who weren't objectified in some way were either gay or old. less
