Cirque Du Freak: The Manga

review 1: This was surprisingly good. I've not read the actual Cirque du Freak series (I bought the first two at a library sale after I read this, though), so I'm not sure if it goes along with the story or if it's an accurate portrayal. I'd hope so, since the original author is involved. Either way, this manga version was very interesting - even if the art was a little wonky at times - and I'm looking forward to both more volumes and the original series.
review 2: This manga was thrusted upon me by a friend who really loves this series. I don't blame her. After reading the insert from the book in the back of the manga, I was very surprised at how quick I was into in the storyline. I have the second manga book in my bag right now and is anxiously awaiting to see what ... morehappens to Darren Shan. I was really confused for a while about the main character having the same name as the author, but then thought, "What the heck. It's making my brain hurt." So, I just left it at that. Thank you for the friend for letting me borrow this! It certainly was a good read. This manga was very fast-paced for me, but I'm still able to grasp what happens so so long as that's fine, I should be all right.I can't wait to read the actual books and watch this movie that I've been hearing so much about`` less
