review 1: I think this is the type of book for people like myself ( enjoy reading horror) to read and enjoy. It is full of excitement, thrills and much more. In the book Darren Shan is the main character. He will take the readers on an exciting journey as they read the book. From a normal boy, risking everything and follow a path to become the most dangerous predator, Darren Shan is willing to share his experience with the readers. Vampires are very different in this book and also there are other characters such as snake boy and freaks that work at Cirque du Freak. I recommend this book to readers who wants to read book for fun and also readers who are looking for thrill and excitement. As J.K Rowling stated, "this book leaves reader hungry for more."
review 2: Huh. I ... morewas bored silly by the first novel in this series, but this manga -- which follows that novel pretty much exactly -- is not bad at all. I picked it up in the library because Takahiro Arai's art intrigued me, and that was clearly the right call: Darren and Steve are tiny and determined and adorable in this book the way they just weren't in the original. I think I'll be following this one in manga. less
