review 1: A book on social media is a pretty bad idea and 5 years do make a huge difference. I've bought this a few years ago for our work library, so staff at my digital marketing agency could read it. Social media has definitely moved on quite a bit, even though Weinberg's points around relationship building are and best practice are still valid. I wouldn't recommend this even for beginners in 2014 I'm afraid, as most of the information has drastically changed since then.
review 2: This book is a resource and once read, it can be read again and then again to continually reference the guidance Tamar offers around how to engage in the different social media environments. Books like this could date so easily as the technology mutates daily but she's written and structured
... more the book so she's talking about the essence of different spheres (bookmarking, blogging, microblogging, social news etc.) so you can take the learnings and essentially apply them to new sites and software as they are launched. It's brilliant. less
