review 1: Amazing.......a character who actually acts her age. Samantha is the main character and she is 17. I really like to NOT like her, she is selfish and a twit. How can you not like her? She does most everything a seventeen year old would do. As for the book and the story....great ! Love Elliot, but I think there is a darker side to him.....too many secrets and he's not really honest with Sam. My favorite has to be Frasier, he is kind, caring and wears his heart on his sleeve. I hope the final book doesn't leave me hanging. Great twist and turns! Happy Reading :)
review 2: Wow wow wow! Did this sequel surprise me. So I read Super Dark 1 and thought I knew where the story was heading but boy - did this author lay it on me. Okay, so Sam enters a whole new world with
... more a whole new set of characters. Stoneheath is richly developed with a whole back history that was pretty awesome. I quickly got wrapped up in the new plot thread and loved how intense things started to play out between Sam and Elliot... it was really nice to see things develop between them properly and I loved the dialogue (although I missed Frasier. He's one of my favourite characters. Luckily he returns later in the story). Without giving too much away, this book was every bit as intense and great as the first, just a bit different. Plus there was a MAJOR and I do mean MAJOR plot twist towards the end that TOTALLY threw me. I also loved Shakti and Rajad. So quirky and so original. I had to stay up late to finish this one. less

Not too bad. I think I have an appreciation for the underlying Beauty & the Beast story.
