review 1: Absolutely fantastic. I loved this book and can't wait for more.I was gifted this book by the author for an honest review, and I would have paid to read this one...great stuff.I loved the way the story covered current day, but reflected on the past, so dealing with the here and now, but at the same time bringing us up to speed on how the characters met, fell out and ultimately came together again. Lil's has grown up in the biking community and jay fell in love with her from childhood. They grew up together, his family took her on as one of their own and they just suit each other. It's just meant to be. Miss understandings lead to fall out and separation, then a fight at a party throws them back together again. The ending is a huge cliff hanger and left me reeling for a ver... morey sweet innocent character. Shame on you author. That was so unfair!!!. I will definitely be following this series. Shame I've missed the bonus chapters as the release date for the second has come and gone...but at least I don't have to wait for the second, and not too long for the final.
review 2: Meet Lil and Jay. They grew up together and fell in love. It was a biker fairy tale romance. Lil was insecure, she had fears of turning out like her parents and other misconceptions of Jay. So one day she just left him and thier biker world behind. Flash forward two years and Lil sneaks back into town only it's not so quiet. She needs the help of Jay and the rest of The Kingsmen. Will she be able to pay the price for thier help? As Tara Oakes introduces you to Lil and Jay you begin to see how misunderstandings happened. Lil was young and immature during her relationship with Jay and she allowed others to influence her decisions. Jay was completely in love with Lil and she broke his heart. Can Jay get over what she did in the past or will he hold it against her? Can Lil get over insecurities? Are these two doomed to repeat past mistakes? Tara Oakes does a great job of introducing Lil and Jay relationship from the past and present. Lots of hot sex. Looking forward to the next book to see how Lil and Jay's relationship plays out and to learn more about the other Kingsmen. less
