review 1: In a paranormal kitchen, everything was thrown in except the sink. We're talking: necromancer, witches, zombies, fairies, werewolf/vampire hybrid, and a dragon...plus more other paranormal realm. This was a fast and fun read, though. I really liked the m.c. Alex. Her potty mouth actually had me laughing quite a bit. There was some romance, but not a ton. This book really focused more on the paranormal aspect. It was kind of like X-Files meets CSI meets Buffy. You have an unexpected chick who ends up kicking butt, solving paranormal cases, all with a forensic flair.I would definitely read more by this author.
review 2: I love starting a new book you always get the cool characters and the story just flows as it did with this one Alex was sure she had a sickness ot
... moreherwise how do you explain all the strange things she has always being able to see, trolls under bridges and a stepmother with goat slit like eyes and a forked tongue but after arriving at Pierce SD she finds she is not alone and so her new life begins. Here she meets a fairy prince,a very interested technomage and reunites with her old lover the very mysterious Valentine less
