review 1: Terry Fallis is hilarious! I loved this book just as much as Up and Down. In this story, he takes the issue of people who have "name fame" ie. share the name of a famous person. The main character is Earnest Hemmingway - who, although his names are both spelled differently from his famous namesake - is forever having to endure comments and problems when he is asked for his name. To make matters worse, his goal is to become a writer. The book is both funny and very thoughtful.
review 2: A funny, entertaining book -- based on how difficult it can be to have the same name as a famous person, mostly. Our Hero is Earnest Hemmingway (no relation) who suffers writers block and tries to exorcise it by connecting with the famous author by visiting the major places in
... morehis life. He also meets other people with the same predicament as he experiences, and with a great sense of humour and positive outlook, things just work out as they should. An easy, pleasurable read. less

Enjoyable, but not nearly as good as his first two about politics in Ottawa.
