review 1: Saw this via newspaper review I think, enjoyed it very much. Story of a former Liberal comms writer, retiring but owes the leader a favour - find him a candidate in Cumberland riding. Conservative stronghold, should be easy to convince someone as they're guaranteed not to win. Unless something unexpected happens, of course. Funny book, likeable characters, lots of trivia from Parliament and the area.
review 2: What a refreshing read. I found the story line a most amusing and compelling read that had me chuckling over the twists and turns of Angus as he tries to do the right thing as an elected MP and toils in his unwanted sabbatical in Canadian politics. The chapter structure was interesting and provided opportunity to both central characters to tell their side
... more of the story. Well worthy of a read and will spur me on to read other works by this author. less
