review 1: For a freebie and one that I'd never heard of, this wasn't half bad. Jade works nights at a coffee shop's drive-thru window and every night Alex, or Officer Hottie, comes through. They flirt and tease each other but it never goes past that. Until after some pushing from her coworker, Alex asks her out to dinner. I definitely enjoyed their teasing banter with each other and I liked that I could feel their chemistry in a book so short. Not sure how I felt about the added drama, but I am glad that it wasn't just straight erotica. Parts just felt a little overdramatic to me. Overall, an okay read.
review 2: This story was cute and sexy. I loved that the sexual chemistry between the two main characters was palpable from the minute they saw each other on their first ... moredate. They were obviously compatible on other levels as well and seemed to really enjoy each other's company.The whole part of the crazy ex threw me for a bit. I didn't get why a cop, of all people, would not acknowlegde a situation that is not only threatening his happiness, but the peace of mind of his lover. Now if this was her first appearance, I can better understand the "ignore it until it goes away" mentality. But history dictates that she won't be the one leaving him alone...his current lover will be the one to do that. Why he didn't reveal how he knew the ex was beyond me...it was a major turn-off...Coffee shop girl can do better!Then again, he can give her an orgasm while she's fully clothed...For that alone, I guess I can see where he would deserve a second chance!Recommend this book for some light & sexy reading. less
