review 1: Another Tess Thompson book that I couldn't put down… Full of suspense and romance I was drawn in from the very first page… I read as part of the River Valley Trilogy. My favorite part of Tess Thompson's books is how supporting characters in one book end up main characters in another. I love learning more and discovering the relationships. I can't wait to read the next book in the Legley Bay series….
review 2: I wasn't aware this was a romance novel. Thank gawd I downloaded it for free. It is no secret I do not like romance novels at all. This book was a classic reason as to why. The book had a great premise: A lawyer turned adoption agent buying newborns from teenage girls for 10 grand and charging $150,000 fee for adoption. Also, it is not wise ... morefor said girl to change her mind during pregnancy. Great story line, yes? The places the author could have gone with such a story line, yes? Could have been if the main characters didn't spend all their time in bed and the author felt that justified more pages of description than the actual story. I did, however, give it a 2 because Ms. Thompson writes very well and develops her characters very well before she throws them in bed. less
