review 1: THis was almost, but not quite, a total waste of time. Unhappily married couples, a precocious 11 year old, the launch of a new franchise, a stay at home, wonderful father who is involved with the wife next door, the wife who just happens to be married to the business mogul trying to promote the franchise for the 1st guy's wife, and ends up involved with her, though only very superficially..... kids, all knowing nanny, santa ana winds, fires, betrayals...nothing very deep or meaningful. blah, blah......but still, i managed to finish it.
review 2: I won this book from Goodreads and really enjoyed reading it. It was a sometimes funny read that dealt with the subject of being a stay-at-home parent. Being a stay-at-home parent myself I liked how the book showed
... more that it is an important, rewarding job. I enjoyed reading about the main character Lance, a weather man turned stay-at-home dad. He was not perfect, but tried very hard to be a good dad to his daughter. The best scenes for me in the book were the times he was talking with his daughter, Belle. The only other character that I found really interesting was Wren, a mom that Lance becomes involved with. Both Lance and Wren have some nice moments in the book where they talk about the love that they have for their kids that I thought were really touching. less

This book was OK at best. Can't really recommend it and sort of wish I hadn't even started it.

So no one finds out their other partners secrets? Not the ending I was hoping.
