review 1: This was a very tender yet steamy romance. Kenleigh is amazing. Strong, beautiful and still grieving the loss of her family. Returning for her second summer at serenity Falls feels right. She has a sense of belonging she doesn’t get anywhere else. And then she meets Wes- all bets are off.Wes is a professional bull rider. After several difficult years he is making some changes in his life. This summer is a new start to the relationship with his parents- Sandi and Will the owners of Serenity Falls. He has heard a lot about Kenleigh, but nothing could have prepared him for her.The story of the ranch and how it helps children is fantastic as well. Such an incredible service.Once they meet the attraction is instant. The comfort and happiness they find with each oth... moreer is beautiful. And the laughter. I fell right in love with them. Felt their fear that it may be too soon and was devastated when they were apart. But with so much love and passion they shouldn’t be able to stay apart long right?? A funny and touching modern love story about falling in love! Looking forward to Brantley and Jackie’s story.
review 2: I received an e-book of Serenity Falls for an honest review as part of the review tour hosted by Into the Night Reviews. This was a cute story. I loved the setting (being a Texan of course) and Wes as a cowboy...count me in! It wasn't predictable like I originally expected it to be. Wes is a professional bull rider and Kenleigh is a soon-to-be sophomore in college. Wes is a changed man. I was a little surprised when he told his story, certainly didn't see the twist coming. He's a sweetie at heart and you get to see that from the beginning. One of the things I really liked about Serenity Falls was that Wes wasn't the bad guy. He'd accepted his mistakes in the past and was doing his best to make some of them right...if he could. Kenleigh wasn't my favorite heroine. I have to admit, she was a little weak for me. That's not to say she's a bad character, just could have been stronger. I didn't really care for the way she let Wes get away with some of the stuff he did, or that she gave up her plans for him. But again, this is just my opinion, not a reason to not read this book. Overall the story is good. Wes and Kenleigh were really good for each other. I'm curious to read the next book, because Jackie and Brantley could bring some serious fireworks! less
