review 1: Ok, I'll admit to being confused... So, I thought this was a great erotic short.  I loved these characters, I loved the set up.  I loved the big revelation at the end when we find what "he" did for a living.  And on GR, this is set up as a prequel. I started looking into reading the first book right away because I just LOVED the little taste of this series that I got. But then, I read up on the series and realized that these characters aren't really going to featured in the first book.  It's about someone else.  Now, I'm a bit disappointed. I've heard a lot of great things about this series, so I'm going to give it go, but I think I may have inadvertently ruined my experience.
review 2: My first e-book and it was free made this reading doubly enjoyable t
... moreo me. The story was unique using a short term lending concept within the confines of a steadfast longstanding relationship. A surprising twist with the revelation of her longtime lover and my captured interest left me desiring more pages to read, only to discover there was no more. “The Gift” was compact in length yet fully packed with enough eroticism to be appreciated. It was truly remarkable in grabbing this reader’s interest to the end. Like all well-planned books, it left me wanting more dangling on a hook for the next book. This was a free downloaded book. less
