review 1: I read this as a free book on my Kindle owners lenders library. While the premise and storyline was intriguing at first, I could not get past the poor writing. I struggled to finish it and scanned through probably the last quarter of the book determined to finish. I struggled with giving it two or three stars. About halfway through the book the writing went from bad to corny. I would not recommend this book to anyone.

... moreuthor, and even though I enjoyed the story and the fast-paced ending, I didn’t really like where the story went. I wanted Ermel to be the main character, I wanted her to find a way to make her “kept” baby more special than the other two, and show up the people that looked down on her, but it wasn’t to be. Ermel was a strong character in the beginning, but petered out. It was almost like two books that had been joined together. All in all, it was a good story that moved quickly. less
