review 1: Not up to Tina Leonard standards. I'm not sure what's wrong with the book - for a while I thought it was just a case of too much plot for a category romance. There are a lot of books in this series and that may be part of the overall problem. It'll be a while before I polish off all the books: some titles I have, some I don't, so I'll be reading them out of order for some time to come. I didn't care for Darla & Judah all that much, either.
review 2: The heroine has had a crush on the hero for quite some time. They have both pretended to ignore each other and not feel the same. So on the night of the heroes brothers wedding, the heroine takes her chance and sleeps with the hero.What he hero didn't know was two big things: The first one being the heroine is marry... moreing another man. It's a business relationship and she's still in love with the hero but she can't stand waiting for him to come around.The second one is, the condoms he used that night were gag gifts and they didn't protect against pregnancy. Now the heroine is pregnant with twins!When the hero finds out all of this, he intends to make her marry him not the good doctor with whom she would have a marriage of convenience with. But now someone is trying to kill him and he is going to push the heroine away but she has some other plans.I think this was the most boring out of the series this far. I didn't quite like it at all. In fact sometimes I thought it was just overkill. We already knew from the previous books the hero and heroine had this huge thing for each other. So I couldn't stand it. Also anyone recognizing the pattern here? So far all the pregnant wives are having girls.. less
