The Heat Vision division of THR reports that WWE Superstar Samoa Joe has joined the cast of Transformers: Power of the Primes, the final season of a Transformers animated series co-produced by Michinima (yes they’re still doing stuff) and Hasbro. Joe, who will voicing the villainous Predaking (I have no idea what or who that is), is joining a cast that includes luminaries such as Mark Hamill (hot off the best work of his career in 2017’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi) and journeyman Ron Perlman. WWE is already appearing to be readying for Joe’s absence, with GM Kurt Angle announcing via Twitter that due to injuries sustained on Monday’s RAW episode he could no longer participate in the Mixed Match Challenge which begins next week on Facebook Live.
Thank you all for voting for @itsBayleyWWE partner in #WWEMMC, but due to an injury suffered on #Raw @SamoaJoe is unable to compete…

…therefore the runner-up @IAmEliasWWE will be Bayley’s partner. #WWEMMC

I’m not entirely sure if this is related or not but it’s interesting timing to say the least. Congrats to Joe on his acting gig either way. Transformers: Power of the Primes is slated to air in the second quarter (April, May, June) of 2018.
