review 1: Insightful and inspiring! What I wish I knew when I was 20 challenges the conventional beliefs of the way things are or should be. The book is packed with wonderful ideas and inspiring stories from both the author's personal experiences teaching at Standford Dschool and encouraging stories from the great people she had met.Being a 20-year-old on the verge of becoming a mature and responsible individual, I am facing many worries and uncertainty of life. Tina showed me how we view the world around us could greatly affects our life. Now I can proudly say that I embrace uncertainty as the essence of my life that it opens up endless possibilities.

Solid advice for ... moreanyone in college and the stories in it are absolutely inspiring and interesting. What I wish I know when I was twenty? Embrace problems, uncertainty, challenge the assumptions and question the rules, showing appreciation and never miss an opportunity to be fabulous and so on. One of the tips is very useful for me, write down a failure resume. It can always remind you that do not make the same mistake anymore. The more important point, no waiting, don’t sit around waiting for a yes that will never come. Just grant yourself permission to do you want to do. Even if you fail, it doesn't matter, remember that you personally are not a failure. The failure is external. This perspective will allow you to get up and try again and again. On the other hand, don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone, I know it's not easy to do. But achieving is your responsibility from start to finish.We determine how we face the world. The world is filled with both flowers and flaws, it's up to you to embrace which. less
