review 1: Tina Welling's description of Jackson Hole, the nearby mountains and its delicate plant life was absolutely beautiful. For that talent, I did not want to put the book down. Though, for me I had to. One of the main characters frequently swore and I doubted that would change. I didn't want to hear any more language poured out on our sweet main character, a widow in her mid-30s. I read to page 36, with a story that pulls your right in, but also brings with it a dozen swear words, 3 F bombs, and 3 crude sexual jabs as well.Adult read.
review 2: Cowboys Never Cry is alluring from the first page to the last. The lead character is a young woman with a sorrowful past who is reclaiming her life with vitality and wary independence. She meets charming and unpredictabl... moree characters who are constantly transforming and learning from each other. The book entices the reader with serious, funny, and romantic scenes, all driven by engaging dialogue. Welling does a beautiful job of painting the grandeur of the book's setting, the Jackson Hole high peaks and narrow valleys. The ending is surprising and poignant. I was sorry to close the book for the last time. less
