review 1: Mia: a ballet dancer. She is eighteen. She has a lousy mother and her father is dead. Mia receives news that she cannot dance for a month due to the injuries on her head from the attack. She's been in a coma for five weeks. Her mother is an alcoholic. Mia wakes up a different person than she was before the coma. Mia has to do therapy and her recovery is going to take a year.Kira: friends with Mia and also a ballet dancer. I do not like the way this story begins. Mia only focuses on dancing, but when her brother comes into town to celebrate them turning eighteen he takes them to a club where she is attacked by his friend. The poor me attitude sucks to read about. She needs to stop with her pity party it's becoming quite annoying and it's ruining the story. Then she is betray... moreed by her mother, madam, and Kira. What a mess of a story. Her mother has taken all of her trust money that she needs to pay for ballet school. Kira tries to talk her into working at the club with her. This girl is on the path to self destruction. First stripping, then prostitution, and finally she becomes an escort.WTF was that I just read? She starts as a ballet dancer and ends up an escort. Really? Did not see that one coming. I skimmed thru most of the story hoping for it to get better which it did not. Instead it got weirder.
review 2: As a person that loves TJ Hamilton's "Thyme" series, finding out more about Mia/Miranda was exactly what I needed! I love a novella that just adds something to an already amazing series, that gives me background and that extra bit I need! Watching Miranda's transition was interesting to watch. I always get so frustrated when I see people who are suppose to love and protect, not be the people they truly should be. The innocence lost, this amazing novella is the perfect prequel to Mia/Miranda's dreams and future. less
