review 1: ok, so I really love this series! the first book was soooo well written, it hooked me from the get go and didnt release me 'til the very end, leaving me begging for more. this one was a little rougher, I noticed a few discrepancies in the story, little things that make you pause but dont harm the plot.im loving how relationships are unfolding with all the characters. can't wait 'til I can read the next one!
review 2: Yes, the dates are correct. I read this book in one day.It was a good in-between story and we learned a few important facts for the quest. For the most part, it could have been condensed into a few chapters and added to the beginning of the third book (which I am currently reading).Does this mean I didn't enjoy it? No, it just seemed like not too m... moreuch happened to progress the story line. Also, I was disappointed that we didn't learn much more about Crash(Viper)and I have yet to see the point of withholding that information from the reader. From Sora? Fine. It seems like most of the characters they meet understand much more about him than she does. Bad idea, girlfriend, to fall for a guy whose past and character you don't really understand.Volcrian is becoming more wicked and that is being explained. I don't like being in the mind of the villain - especially when they're killing people with their bare hands and enjoying it - but it does add tension. How can Sora ever hope to defeat such a powerful villain?Off to read book three. That's the best recommendation anyone can give a book that's part of a series. less
