review 1: This book. Holy shitballs guys. It. Was. So. INTENSE. This was one of my first darker reads and I am hooked on this author. There were times when I was sitting in my room reading through a crack in my fingers. It was just THAT intense. Jake was confident, sexy, and damaged in the best way. I loved how in this book Frazier doesn't make the female MC, Abby, try to fix him. Abby is just as damaged. Coming from a bad home makes her insecure, but it's not annoying most books along those lines are (I'm looking at you, Anastasia Steele). There were a few plot twists that I didn't really like, but over all this book was solid. It was really well written. I got a little scared when it started going towards insta-love territory, but thankfully it turned around and they fell in love ... morein a time frame a reader could follow. Once again, I'm looking at you Ana. I definitely recommend this book and this author to anyone who is okay with having their mind fucked and their heart ripped from them.
review 2: I don't even know were to start. There is so much to talk about. But Im going to say just this.It was so emotional. Loved how they started to know each other. How they accepted each others past. And how their conection grow.The night before Jake have to leave for his "job" was so beautiful. Was so hard for them to say goodbye in the morning. But they vere happy that they finally have someone so special in their life. Were so hopeful. And then...OMG!!! What happened later was so hurtful, so heartbreaking, so...I don't have enough words to describe it. I was crying all that time when Bee was brutalised. Till the end I was prying for someone to show up and safe her from this hell. But...God...No one come. And after that nightmare Bee make me cry harder and break my heart all over again. Why? Because she didnt break. Bee showed how much amazingly strong she is. Because after what she survived other girl in her place would have be emotional mess. But not Bee. After waking up she make proof of what happened to her. You think to police? If you thing that you will be very wrong. She make that proot for Jake. Why? To feed his rage. That he make Owen suffer. Badly. Before he kills him.But this don't ended like that. Misunderstanding happens and they don't see each other for four years whithout Jake finding out the true.After all these years something makes Jake to come back. They find out that they still have feeling for each other. But Bee don't wanna go there because it was so painful to lose Jake. And she don't wanna to go through that again. And more important Bee don't wanna her littlr baby girl go through that. Yes you reas it right. Bee has a child. But that just all I gonna to say. Jake make his move to show that no mater what, no mater what happened in the past he wouldn't leave again. Because he loves her still amd though about coming back but only his stupid pride stoped him. But now he is here and going nowhere.From Jakes return I was waiting for one moment. When he finds out the true. And when he did how hes going to pay not so friendly visit to Owen. And when that happened I couldn't help but smile and think make him pay, make him scream.It made me feel good that in the end Jake & Bee didn't let the hurtful past break them. No. That only made them stronger. And after all the darkness they find each other again. less
