review 1: This is a good friends-to-lovers story. It wasn't very long, but we still get a very good storyline. I really liked the characters, including the girlfriend. She handled the tension between them very well, perhaps she had seen this coming for a while. Everything was A-okay until Griffon(the straight friend) kissed his best friend(gay), Justin, on the lips in front of Justin's bullies. That was when their relationship starting to teeter over from friendship into lovers.Have an epilogue! We all know I love those!
review 2: I am a sucker for a best-friends to lovers M/M romance, but even so this story really delivers. Another hot button for me is that one of the MC is a college swimmer, while the other plays college Basketball, both being instant points of i... morenterest for me. Throw in some homophobia, gay-bashing, along with a tribute band with a gay lead singer and this story packs a real punch. Too bad it is so short, but it's like that gift box you have doubts about until you open it as see the treasure inside. I laughed, cried and feared for both MCs; it was a delicious read. less
