Striking a Match
review 1: This was the best book out of the striking a match series. finally the romance between the main character was focused on and finalized..i didn't enjoy that it was dragged out especially in the middle of the book but i appreciate how the author developed it and the couple matured. I rather enjoyed that the book was not fully predictable..their was some action and unexpected (although sad) turns but i enjoyed it.
review 2: I liked the series. Especially the first and last books. Often times christian books like these make the woman very nurturing, domesticated and weak, nothing like me. I really appreciated that Deborah, the main character, was more logical, educated, and motivated. She was kind but firm about her views. She was loving towards her family and the
... more doctor, but admitted she wasn't comfortable being nurturing. She was even willing to move places, which is not common in books. This sounds much more realistic to me, than the girl that falls in love and wants to stay home to cook, clean and raise kids. The conflict was pretty good, but sometimes the author forgets to follow up on some of the side characters, like whatever happened to the workers in the storm. I'm open to reading more of her books in the future. less
