review 1: I can't seem to finish this book. I've had it checked out for like three months. I want to read to the end, out of duty, because I read the first two books in this series. I know Lacy will marry Dave Shepard in the end, I'm just waiting for it to happen. She has doubts, which in my mind, are stupid. Get over it already. I just read a three-page conversation between Lacy and Dave's mom, Patience, where Lacy explained her doubts over and over, and Patience tried to console her. It didn't work. I'm bored with this book and I still pick it up every once in a while, read three pages, then put it back down. My husband says, "Just take it back already!" I guess I find it boring and slow-paced. There needs to be more conflict. More to the plot. I'm still a fan of Tracie Peterson. ... moreI enjoyed her most recent series about Minnesota much better, so I know she hasn't lost her touch, but this book just doesn't do anything for me. I think I'll skim it and find out who killed the Gallatin girls' dad, and then I'll return it to the library.
review 2: I took book 2 of the series with me to Wyoming for Thanksgiving. Once I finished it all I wanted to do was the read the last book. Happily my mother is a librarian and had it at her library. We were able to sneak up to the library (even though it was closed) to get it for me to read. Thanks Mom!Loved it! Lacy is my favorite of the three sisters. I loved her story. It was really fun to read, even with a headlamp on my head since it was too dark to see on the drive home from Wyoming. less
