review 1: Read for June Challenge, Opposites Attract, Categories A9/B5, Night/Vampire-Plural.My head is spinning from this fantastic read. I don't begin to have a shelf that covers all that's going on with book. Historical & Futuristic, Vampires and MMF just cover the basics of all that's unfolding. Super great final moments twist, just a crazy great story.I picked this up as a freebie on amazon, little did I know what a gem I had downloaded. It sat on my TBR shelf for a good while, so happy this latest group challenge had me dusting it off and putting it into the on deck to read next pile.
review 2: Bannockburn Binding is the first book in the Beloved Bloody Time series by Tracy Cooper-Posey. If the other books are like this one they will all be a homerun. The storyli
... morene combines the best of time travel, vampires, mmf bisexual menage, suspense, and romance. I know it seems like a tall order but this book really delivers. The story is set in the 23rd century. Natalia Marta is a time travel agent/escort that takes travelers to their desired destination in history. While on a traveling adventure Natalia is abducted by Robert Mackenzie. While his intent is to hold her hostage and keep her from harm the tables turn and he becomes a willing prisoner to the passion between them. Their chemistry was so realistic I could feel the sizzle. I loved that the author allowed the female to take the lead in their affair. It was hot, hot, hot, and our lead male was a more than willing student. Despite being from different times their love was so sweet that I found myself crying thinking about the time they would have to leave each other. A sudden turn of events makes it even more crucial that Natalia return to her time. Fellow time traveler, Christian Lee Hamilton, arrives on the scene to rescue Natalia but finds he may be in need of rescue because he is attracted to Robert. This is the point where I really couldn't tear myself away from the book. I was totally vested in the characters and the storyline---wondering how could they leave Rob and stay healthy. I literally stayed up and read through the night to make sure they were going to be okay. It turns out that they are more than okay and there is a surpise twist that you will love at the end. I've read many of Tracy Cooper-Posey's books, and I'm happy to report that this one lands among my most favorite. The menage scenes are tastefully written and involve consenting adults that are engaged in a polyamorous relationship. The vampire element is downplayed with no gruesome scenes. It's a very enjoyable read. Reviewed by Michelle for Cocktails and Books less
