review 1: First off, its "dire" events, not "dyer" and "piqued" curiousity not "picked". Seriously, what do editors even do? Anyways, while not entirely bad, this book was simple and I find it might be more well suited to a younger audience. Also, while the characters supposedly had to search for the message themselves, as readers we are told what we should learn rather than also learn for ourselves. The only part I truly enjoyed was the bit with Alexander the Great. The rest was just not up to par.This review brought to you via the Goodreads Giveaway section under "Explore".
review 2: I really didnt think I would care for this book. But I couldnt put it down. During the first chapter all I could think of was Aesops Fables. Although it comes as a metaphor, it has a g... morereat story line. I truly enjoyed this book. It is a must read.I'm sorry I forgot to mention that I won this book thru Goodreads giveaways. That just didnt seem to enter into the equation when I reviewed the book. less
