review 1: I always like some Fallen Angels or Nephilims stories; there's always something romantic about their fall. The humanity is wonderful with it lacks of perfection and I can't see all of that through their fallen! So I always looking for books to give me that.I really like this one cause it bring me every thing of my love for fallen angels. We have two boys, brothers, twints, one good, the other bad. We got three well written lead characters. They develop during the book goes amazing and you find yourself looking for more from them, even you star thinking that mybe, Abel is not that bad as you think. I like that the love between Kate and Cain is not fast. The get to know each other and even you can feel it as a normal, real relationship. I really like them and wish to know ... moremore about. Also like the twist the author made at this story, like humans live among a variety of supernatural beings. The only think I didn't like is the fact that the secondary characters didn't get an explanation; is just like Kate do everything to save her friends but we never get to know them.Overall, this was a wonderful read, with few tricks, wonderful characters and good written! Recommend it!
review 2: Katie has witnessed a murder. Well not exactly a murder. More like a mind controlled suicide. Problem is that she was robbing the man that was killed and was hidden away watching it happen. She calls her brother for help as she has no where else to turn. He recommends that she goes to The Bound Ones for help. They are half angel and half human protectors and she agrees to meet with them. She goes into full flight mode when she comes face to face with Cain who she believes to be the killer, but it is revealed that Cain actually has a twin - Abel - that is the killer. Cain vows to protect Katie and also bring in Abel who he also wants to save.I loved that Katie is such a strong and smart character. Cain comes at her with some serious attitude at first with her accusing him of being the killer. how was she supposed to know about the whole twin thing anyway? But she didn't back down and gave it right back at him. I like her fight. One of the things that I loved about Cain is that he didn't give up on his brother. He held out hope that he could reach him and bring him back from the dark side. I love these two together and would love to read more of them in a series.I give Angel Kin 5 hearts! less
