review 1: Fabulous read 4.5 stars.It must be three years since I read this book, I'd even given up checking on the next book 'Forged in Ash' and then this afternoon while I was bored and flicking around I noticed 'Ash' is out and the reviews are great, I couldn't believe it I've been struggling to settle on a book I've started six today including a series which was one of my favourites but I just couldn't get into it. Since its been so long since I've read 'Fire' I thought I'd best re-read that first and here began my problem but more about that at the end. When I first read this book I absolutely loved it and would have given 5 stars if I'd been reviewing back then, it had a bit of everything, romance, action, drama the list goes on and it even had a little paranormal twist to it s... moreo all on all it covered all the bases which is why for about two years I'd regularly check to see if 'Ash' had been released, anyway like I said I've just read this book again and while I enjoyed it and thought it was still a fantastic read there were things I didn't like, this could be due simply to the fact that it's a second read or I've read so many books since then that I'm more critical, either way I thought Mac overreacted a bit to any female presence and, well it had another couple of bits I didn't like which I didn't pick up on back then but I don't want to spoil anything so I won't give details.Despite this its a fabulous book and I can't wait to start 'Ash'####This is just me having a rant and is nothing to do with the books content.I knew I'd read this book before and since I buy most of my books from Amazon I checked there first, it wasn't showing it as purchased so I did a search on my kindle and nothing which surprised me so I tried iBooks, it's not there, Smashwords, no and finally allromanceebooks, no. So now I'm confused I can't find this book anywhere but I know I've read it so I spend nearly an hour trying to find it and yes I know it would be easier to just buy it again but I've got it already, somewhere. Since this has happened before on a couple of occasions with Amazon I decided to concentrate on them, the main problem was the time because it was three years ago, I download a lot of books, hundreds every year but eventually I found it I did purchase it from Amazon and this is the annoying thing and I've been caught out like this before. I was reading a series and fell behind I then noticed two books in this series I checked Amazon and it wasn't showing me as purchasing them, so I checked the other sites I download from and they weren't there either, since I had loads of iTunes vouchers I used them to purchase the books only to discover that I'd already read one of them and after spending ages trying to sort it out it was Amazon again, I contacted them on this occasion and told them that I'd purchased the books originally from them but they weren't showing as purchased, when I checked back it was like this for the whole series and I couldn't get them on my kindle or iPad they made them available but they still don't show as purchased and this is one of the reasons I started reviewing so I have a record of the books I read, this doesn't help me with all the ones I read before I started like this one but I had to start somewhere.Ok rant over, it was just such a waste of time and how many times does this happen?
review 2: 4 starsThis was a very story. I liked Zane and Beth and their story was action packed and engaging, keeping me on the edge of my seat until the end. This was the first book I've read by this author and I liked it well enough I'm likely to try more of her work in the future. Beth works for the engineering department for PAA (Pac Atlantic Airlines). She grew up with a single mother who worked herself to the bone until she died of cancer (fueling her initial distrust of men). Beth found a further reasons to distrust men when she found her fiancée sleeping with another woman. Now she won't trust any man further than a few dates and cuts anything off that might last longer out of fear. Beth is normally not psychic but she’s been having nightmares about a plane hijacking for the last 3 nights in a row.Zane is a SEAL and a good man. He has psychic flashes that help him do his job and his teammates have learned to trust his instincts. Psychic ability is something that runs in Zane’s family and the men in his family have a destined mate. No other woman will do and the men in his family don’t have much interest in women until their “one” shows up. Zane and 2 of his teammates are in the Seattle airport waiting to fly to Hawaii for a wedding when Zane gets some flashes indicating there’s going to be a problem on the flight.In Beth’s nightmares, she sees things from the beginning of the day, before the hijacking actually starts in her dream. When things start taking place that happened in the beginning of the dream, Beth realizes that her dream is going to come true that day. She tries to ignore this and goes to work but realizes she can't ignore her feeling that the hijacking will take place. She (as an employee) is able to fly for free so Beth gets herself put on the passenger list of the flight in question so she can go to the loading gate and check for the men she saw hijack the plane in her dream. She doesn't see the hijackers but she does see 3 military men that she saw killed in the dream, Zane and his 2 buddies. Zane realized as soon as Beth walked in that she was his “one” but he’s also gotten some flashes that make him realize that there will be issues on the plane so he doesn't feel he has time to talk to Beth right now and figures he'll have to track her down later. Beth however, knows that the men are military and hopes that if she can convince them of the coming hijacking that they can call someone “official” to handle the issue. When Beth approaches Zane, she surprised at how quickly he and his buddies believe her, even with her being able to tell them things she shouldn't know (from her dream). Once they're all working together, Beth, Zane and his buddies are able to stop the plane taking off but unfortunately the head bad guy that’s organizing everything has people in high places under his thumb and the officials aren't able to capture all the bad guys. It soon becomes apparent that the conspiracy goes much further than they first expected and the bad guys that are still loose could be a danger to them. This means that they all have to stick together and try to figure out the real reason for the attempt at a hijacking. While all this is going on, Beth and Zane interact and Zane tries to gain her interest. Unfortunately, while Zane is drawn to Beth as his “one” she doesn't feel the same draw to him right away. Beth also has a lot of distrust of men and passion that burns fast and burns out quickly, leaving her with nothing afterwards. Zane’s boss lets out information about Zane’s families’ need to find their “one” (aka soulmate) and that freaks Beth all the hell out and just puts her more on the defense against anything with Zane. There is lots of action going on and while everything is going on Beth does start to realize that Zane is a good man and starts to feel something for him but she’s still has trouble trusting him. I got frustrated with Beth at times (I hate it when the MCs let fear make them stupid) and was thankful when she came to her senses. There are plenty of tough and dangerous times that they have to get through but they do without too many issues. Beth and Zane end the story together (beginning their HEA) but the action storyline isn't complete and ends in somewhat of a cliffhanger.I enjoyed this story very much. I liked Zane a lot and I liked Beth very much as well. I had no complaints about Zane and the only complaints I had about Beth I've already made (her letting fear make her stupid). I will note that the story did seem heavier on the action side than the romance but both did play an important part in the story. Overall this was a very good story and I'm looking forward to finding out what happens in book #2. I'd recommend this book. :D* note - I listened to the audio version of this book and the narrator did a very good job. less

Technically 3.5 stars, but I am feeling stingy today :PI enjoy detective and adventure books. That said, I wouldn't have usually picked up a romantic novel even if it was a mystery type of book. However this isn't a flimsy porn-type book - there's an actual story here. Yes, it has sex and romance but it isn't overloaded with it and the adventure element is exciting. It hooks you from the beginning and you instantly like the characters, they were fun and engaging and the premise of the story was good and gave a solid start off point for the series... but I did find a few things annoying.Most important of which: the main character Beth meets her hero one lovely morning, and within 24h she is in love with a fully developed psychic bond to her future husband. I really dislike book that have relatable characters but completely out-of-the-sky expectations. Seriously, when did the romance disappear from romantic erotica? :(

Awesome new author!!! Loved this book! Great that it is a series not so great that I am gonna have to wait for each book darn.Beth Brown has a nightmare over three nights about a high jacking of a plane that everyone are killed except for first class. She must take a chance and try and warn the three soldiers that she dreams of and hopes that they will believe her.Navy Seal Zane Winter is physhic and he is having flashes about the plane trip to the wedding that he and his seal team mates are headed to death. And then he sees he her! His Family can zone in on their soul mate. And his could not have happened at a worse time...
