review 1: "Twelve Days of Christmas" is about a woman (a widow) who has just lost her gran who had brought her up after her mother had died. She works as a chef/caterer in the summer months but in the winter she keeps house for people who are away from their homes. In the book she goes to a remote place in Yorkshire to look after an old house and animals whilst the owner is abroad over the Christmas holidays. She expects to be alone but is happy with that as she doesn't celebrate Christmas. However, things don't pan out as she anticipates
review 2: I always enjoy Trisha Ashley books and this was no exception to that. Really lovely, touching, romantic comedy type read. I loved the main character, Holly Brown (perfect name for a Christmas themed book). The cooking and f... moreood scenes were mouthwatering and the setting was perfect. The characters were well developed and interesting. You could clearly understand their motivations and behaviors. This book definitely put me in the mood for the holidays. Fans of British women’s fiction, Christmas themed books, and cooking (traditional foods) should all find something to enjoy here. less
