review 1: Trisha Wolfe the debuting author for Destiny’s Fire took me by surprise with this young adult scifi romance. The BookWhisperer is not your typically scifi reader, but this story blew me away. As a huge fan of independent and courageous females; Dez was a prime example. Along with her friends this story is packed full of wonderful characters; that will keep readers captivated. The only minor criticism that I have for this book was the lack of detail in the first few chapters. Even after completing the story I was unsure of when this story was actually taking place. Once I returned to add a description for this review I realized that it was set in 2040. While this does not hinder the understanding of the story, it did give me pause in the story. For action lovers this is a... more perfect story, but it is a young adult novel so the violence is a minimum. There again this does not hinder the storyline, but it is noticeable especially when readers find themselves in a war setting. Overall story is exceptionally writing and it uniqueness is apparent in the imaginative story that is delivered. Trisha proves herself here as a talented and creative writer, and leaves me anxious to see what she will have to offer in future novels.
review 2: Oh, how easy it is to rate Destiny's Fire five stars!!! This book had me falling to Reese's feet from the get go:) I absolutely loved, loved, loved Reese and Dez's relationship and how easy it was for them to be together and it felt so natural. What I mostly love about Dez is she's not the typical girl who sways back and forth with her feelings and gets all caught up in angsty life, nope, she knows what she wants and she goes for it. I really respected that and found it soooo refreshing from all the other ya girls. I can't wait to find out what happens next for Dez:) You go girl!!! less

Story was enjoyable, if a little predictable in places, and the world building needed work.
