review 1: This was a dnf. I was so disappointed as I loved the novella set in this world and had been looking forward to reading this one for ages. Unfortunately the story was boring, the characters behaviour made no sense ( at least as far as i read up to - i readily admit that this could have changed but sadly I was so put off but the irritating Mary Sue esque heroine , Zara and the stoic hero Devlan I didn't care enough to find out. The heroine from the novella, Fallon was much more interesting and likeable and this book would have benefitted from having her in a starring rather than supporting role.

The king decided to base the society on Camelot, but and has also taken most of their freedoms away. With the exception of communicators, view screens and the barrier the people are not exposed to technology. It is an interesting blend of genres. The only thing I really disliked was how quickly Zara picked up every skill that was taught her, not very believable. less
