review 1: I've read the first 5 volumes back to back, and I must say, so far this has been one of the most exhilarating series I've encountered. At times I've been so excited that I've forgotten to breath, which, obviously, is not a wise move in the long run. Anyway, I've noticed that my interest is starting to wane, so I'm going to take a small break now, before I start to read the next volumes.I feel the series is getting less interesting at the moment. It was fun watching them fight their way to Shonen Jump, but now when it's more about staying there and improving their rankings, I don't find it as exciting. I've had the same problem with most rockstar biographies I've read. I love characters when they're poor artists and struggling to make their dreams come true, but lose a lot ... moreof the interest when they finally make it, and when the focus of the story moves on to their professional life with managers and big budget tours etc.In terms of this story, it doesn't make any difference to me if their manga is the 9th most popular story in Jump or if it's the 7th. I need more human interest. I feel this is sort of turning into a sports manga, with statistics etc. I hope I'm wrong though.
review 2: The story has moved a long fairly well, and we are getting to see some of the downsides to making manga as Shujin and Saiko go on their journey of making manga while in high school. I can definitely see a bigger issue of this being made in the next volume, as it has already been stated that Saiko has been losing weight and hasn't been sleeping regularly. The fan-service aspect of Miyoshi's character was scaled back a bit, and she is really helpful to the guys with their research. I really wish that they would do something to thank her... Even if it is just treating her to a nice dinner or something. We got to see more of Nakai, Aoki, and Miho in this chapter, and especially got to know Nakai's character a little bit better. I loved the chapter that mainly focused on him and his dedication to Aoki's story.Overall enjoyable addition to the series. Looking forward to the drama that is ahead. less

Another one of these. Now that they have their own series, what can they make it work?
