review 1: This was the best book in the series so far. However, I was confused at times. There are characters and other things that were not mentioned in book 1-3 and yet was in this book as if the reader should know. I would strongly urge readers to look up the reading chronology before they read it because I think there are books between the third and fourth book that will help you follow book 4 better.Ultimately though, i still followed the story and enjoyed it.
review 2: 4.0 Stars!!!This series is hard to put down...and this installment brings more answers to the questions regarding Elain's past. It is full of action, new characters, and a confrontation that is hard to forget with the Abernathy clan. I love how strong Elain has become...this book was about Elain...... more.but I can't forget the dragons, Lacey, Blackie and Callie in Maine...oh and Micah and Jim had a big part in this too. I just really enjoyed reading this book and look forward to the next installment. less
