review 1: This book is a quick and quiet read. There is a continuing mystery that lingers throughout the book. It is the desire to see if the questions will be answered that keeps one turning the page. But this book is not about action. If you are looking for adventure and action, you will be disappointed. Instead this book is more about introspection, and the affect a person can have on an individual and a group.
review 2: There is a specific type of young adult novel that is constructed like a diamond--beautifully written, poetic language, vivid characters, a compelling plot, compressed in its telling.
