review 1: Ugh. Honestly, throughout what part I did read, in my mind I was singing Runaround Sue (Dion) because this girl went from one guy to another side one, to this other guy we all knew she'd end up with (unless something changed at the end I didn't read) to giving up on her childhood crush to her sister, then going after him again, and then back and forth and back and forth! No wonder everyone was talking about her having so many boyfriends! Besides the inappropriate stuff, the plot was confusing (like what is this really about?) and I didn't not connect/understand or even like the main character, she was so aggravating. I am the younger sibling so I get not wanting to be so much the shadow of your sister, but this character as a person with her attitudes, etc. I did not person... moreally like. The characters were all extremes (expect that guy she was going to end up with, whatever his name was, he was pretty nice but realistic) and annoying. I honestly, don't even know where I stopped, it just somehow ended out the window. But I need the book number so.... one star
review 2: First off I have to say that this book was written by a friend so my review might be skewed her direction. However, I was very worried to read it because I was scared I wouldn't like it. How do you tell a friend you don't like their book? Good thing that I DID like it!It's a fun story. Great for the teenage audience and I'm really excited to share it with my 14 year old daughter. I really think she'll enjoy it. This fun romance passed my butterfly test. In other words, I got nervous for her and wondered just how it was all going to work out. Personally, I'd have KILLED to be as popular with boys in high school as either of these sisters!Andi is very self absorbed, but what teenager isn't? I like how as the book progresses, she starts to realize that most of the jealousy she has isn't based in any reality. I tell my daughters all the time that their perceptions are rarely the other person's intentions. Kuddos to Veronica! I'd like to read other things she's written. less
