review 1: I got this book, for free, for signing up for something that Amazon was offering. It sounded decent, so I gave it a try. For the most part, I did enjoy the story. At times, it was quite far fetched, and hard to believe, at all. But, isn't that what fiction is all about? To suspend belief, and just go with it? The beginning of the book had a very unedited feel to it. It was like words were switched up in sentences, and because of that, I almost gave up. But, I kept on, and it got much better (almost as if a different person wrote the majority). While this wasn't a book that I'd go out of my way to read, it was a way to pass time. It had adventure, mystery, thrill and some romance. And it had a cute 6 year old boy, Jeff.... whom you just can't help but fall completely in lo... moreve with.
review 2: I would have rated this a five star except it got off to a slightly slow start. I have never read Vicki Hinze before but guarantee I will be reading her again. I love the fact that the story covered more than just the main characters. The author also let you into the thoughts of the villain. The story was full of suspense, secrecy and bough doubt and self-doubt. The ending was right up to a nail biter and left you wanting to jump ahead. less

A new author for me to read. Romance while fighting terrorism.
