Travel log : South West.

A few weeks back, we had a mini getaway down south to celebrate Soph finishing her degree – and wow – it was all types of wonderful! I’m not sure about you, but I have felt that this year has been the busiest and craziest yet. Getting away to just STOP, is sometimes all we need! It’s amazing what driving away from the city can do for the soul – passing beautiful green fields, seeing cute horses and sheep grazing away, and all of the wineries lining the road; a change of scenery can help get those creative juices flowing! Even if just for a few days, escaping the bustle of our everyday lives can be just what is needed to feel replenished and recharged.

Lets be honest, we ate our way through Bunbury to Margs, starting with a brekky of dreams (avo, avo and more avo…and bacon yas). With in-house freshly baked bread, a tasty brew and the company of the cutest cacti- Cafe One Forty provided the goods!

A few things that we are LOVING at the moment:

J : I have been absolutely loving these AMAZING earrings from the wonderful Mountain & Moon. Now, they are not just a unique and beautiful jewellery brand, the duo behind the vision are passionate about production transparency, sustainable practises and fair work conditions as well as employing marginalised women from a community in India to sew up the material bags that the earrings come in. It’s totally inspiring and makes me love the brand that little bit more!

They are overstatedly understated – a simple outfit paired with theses beautiful jewels take it to next level. I have honestly got some much wear out of these bad boys! (I lived in these ALL weekend. Seriously.)

S: After a lot of cute-Dunsborough-clothing-boutiques browsing, we came across Laneway Boutique, which found us in staple basics heaven! I ended up picking this grey jumper up by Australian owned, Little Lies- a brand known for its quality basics for women. This jumper is amaze! It’s quality and simplicity is why I wear it almost every day! I recently bought one of their basic tee’s and it is another piece that goes with everything, is comfortable and has given me so much wear already. Supporting local, and investing in good quality clothing that will last the test of time, is something that I am super passionate about. Anyway! You can check out more of their amazing pieces here.

So, a big shoutout to $5 cleanskin red wine, Lindt’s sea salt dark chocolate and the absolute banger of a tune – Happiness by Alexis Jordan ; t’was a recipe for a stellar weekend!

We hope you enjoy some of the snaps we took throughout our little getaway.
Till next time!

Jules and Soph xx
