review 1: I get impatient when the main character isn't being honest and hiding their motive or being involved with someone. It really drives me crazy!!! This book was really good, but it did drive me crazy that Nick was up front right away. Hope the local folks stay on course - they were really awful throughout this first book. Love "watching" the B&B get ready to open. Wonderful writing & great story.
review 2: I REALLY LOVE THIS SERIES, I MUST ADMIT I DID READ THEM OUT OF ORDER. I TRULY HAVE ENJOYED ALL OF THE BOOKS I'VE READ BY THIS AUTHOR, THE EVIL TRILOGY, PELICAN POINTE SERIES AND SKYE CREE NOVELS. I ONLY HAVE THREE MORE BEFORE I FINISH THEM ALL. I LOVE VISITING "PELICAN POINTE" I FEEL AS THOUGH I HAVE REALLY SEEN THAT LITTLE TOWN FOR REAL. ALL HER CHARACTERS
... more ARE SO WELL WRITTIN, ONCE I START READING I DON'T WANT TO PUT THE BOOK DOWN (not without a fight). JORDAN AND NICK ARE BOTH GREAT PEOPLE WHO SHOULD BE TOGETHER, BUT THAT LITTLE TOWN IT'S UNBELIEVABLE AT TIMES. I LOVE THE WAY MS. MCKEEHAN WRITES, I REALLY TOTALLY GET INTO ALL OF THEM. HER LOVE STORIES ALWAYS LEAVE ME FEELING WONDERFUL INSIDE. THANK YOU! ;> less

A great story, a very good read. I was invested in the adult characters and loved baby Hutton.

Basically a do-dah but a good story about the affects of war: being widowed and PTSD.
