review 1: This book was good but, :). First off it was kind of boring in the beginning and it took me four or five chapters to get into it. Second there was too much talk about the gods and goddesses and the rituals and ceremonies of the Egyptians, I got bored and skipped ahead at that part. Third there was some, Ahem parts. Some talk about men with men, passionate kisses between Cleopatra Selene and two different men wanting her and a almost sex scene that gets inturutped by a cat. Nothing graphic, just kind of awkward!. Other than that I liked it, the ending was great and it was written well. Three stars for being good/ahem.
review 2: This book didn't hold my attention very well until closer to being about halfway through. It felt plot driven more than character driven
... more, and generally, I like strong characters where I can feel a connection or some kind of attraction/appreciation for. I didn't care for the characters here, they felt a little flat to me, even if they weren't written poorly. The plot had picked up enough by the second half to hold my interest, but that's about all I've got to say about this one. less
