The latest in Madison Night’s mystery series. We find Madison and Hudson James in Palm Springs California visiting his sister, Emma and her husband, Jimmy. They plan to help with a renovation of the property. After arriving, the trip takes an abrupt turn with the jeep they are driving clips over trapping Hudson. The following morning Madison sees a body in the river. The police cannot find the body. Everyone is upset with Madison. Before long Madison finds herself involved in a drug scheme, gang activity, a missing child, and possible police misconduct. There are several suspects and there are plenty of clues to keep you guessing. The ending is a surprise. I highly recommend this book and series.
