review 1: I thought this was a good book. Lots of tension and believable characters. I liked that it included themes that sometimes God incorporates into our lives that are signs to us yet nothing to others. The only thing I didn't like was I felt like the author did a tad too much explaining of things the reader might not understand which left me feeling more like a child that the author didn't want to exclude because of random references I may not understand. But that wasn't a huge issue. Overall, a great read. Lots of tension, believable plot lines and struggles we can each relate to with our health, families, and our jobs.
review 2: From the moment Nick Sheridan comes riding to the rescue on his Harley, you are hooked. Nick has made a vow not to date for a year. But
... moretemptation comes quickly in the form of Kate Darby. Kate has come home to care take for her grandmother, Leona and to keep "The Clarion" her grandmother's paper a float. Coincidentally, Nick works for the paper. He doesn't deny their mutual attraction and is honest with Kate from the beginning. She doesn't understand his faith but she can't deny he lives what he talks about. Nick continues to be there for Kate even when the obligations from her former job call her back. She places him on a pedestal and when he falls off, they reach a relationship crisis. Eventually Kate must choose the life she can control full of glittering false promises or the man she loves and the faith she must learn to accept on her own. less
