review 1: Terrific addition to the Gaslight Mystery Series. It was an engrossing story, timely to today as well as historical and it moved the timeline of Malloy and Sarah along. It will be fun to follow the new "family" as they blend, start new work arrangements, live in turn of the century New York. I had despaired of there ever being a resolution and future for them and now can see another 10 or 20 books in the series. Thanks Ms. Thompson for good writing, plot and character development and excellent mysteries.
review 2: If you like the Gaslight murder series by Victoria Thompson you will like the 16th book in the series "Murder in Murray Hill". All the main characters are back, Detective Mallory, Mrs. Brandt, her child Catherine, Mauve, the governess as well as the e... morever funny Mrs. Ellsworth. This one start slow, but when it gets past the second chapter I guarantee you will be hooked. It helps the reader to have read the previous books, but this one still is enjoyable for the person who is new to the series. For readers of historical mysteries set in NYC, enjoy. less
