review 1: Gwyneth was taking a risk. Hiding someone from the enemy clan could get her killed along with Rory, her 5 yr.old son. But being a healer she can't just let him die. Her cousin Donald, is the laird and is a tyrant. If he finds the enemy in her barn there will be no escape. Waiting until he can stand without passing out, Alasdair leaves to head home. Almost getting caught he barely makes it. As the laird of his clan they are glad to have him back. Tracing the enemy back to her cottage, Donald's men kill her friend and she must escape. Fleeing to Alasdair's land he welcomes her and her son. But he cannot fight this attraction for her. Her son being born out of wedlock, Gwyneth tries to fight against Alasdair but she cannot. Will her life be ruined again. She must leave. Befor... moree she can though, an attack on the village shows her how ruthless Donald is. And when Rory is taken by his father who denied him, she is lost. She must get him back. When they arrive e, her only option is to marry Rory's father but she loves Alasdair and can't. Will her fierce highlands find a way out of this mess and can they find a way to be together? Once I started reading I couldn't put it down!!
review 2: Breathtaking! My Fierce Highlander is like a kiss that near takes your breath away. I am still spellbound from this breath taking story. The writing is absolutely smooth with visionary details that keep you glued to the pages. I read this in a 6 hour stretch smiling the whole time feeling the characters intense emotions in each sentence. The chemistry between the characters Lady Gwyneth and Laird Alasdair was electrifying as they savored their erotic bond beyond the unthinkable (extremely hot). It had my own arousal stirred as each scene only got more intense as the story progressed. The secondary characters were just as impressionable as the main characters. Their demeanor showed their humor but with sentiment for what they honored and cared for. The author developed the perfect enemy and I could feel their hatred and want for revenge fuming right off the page. By the end I wanted my own revenge for the enemy and was so glad they got what was due to them in the end.The plot was a perfect creation climaxing with a heartfelt ending. I actually got teary eyed because one moment Lady Gwyneth was making a huge mistake of sacrificing her own happiness for the wellbeing of her son leaving Laird Alasdair heartbroken which made me furious as hell. But at last reality hits home with a drastic loneliness that about kills her soul and she wakes up and seizes her once in a life time of happiness. I think I held my breath through the whole scenario and about cried with joy in the end. I even hugged the book.Over all this was an excellent read and I highly recommending this breath taking story (series) to all Historical Romance lovers. I look forward to reading the next book in the series “My Wild Highlander.” less
